Mystery Mission Trip – Day 6

Day 6 – Heading Home!

We have reached our final day of our trip. It went by so fast! We had a great time and met many wonderful people.

This morning we met back up at Grace Church after a lovely evening with our host families. We ate a quick breakfast and headed down the highway to River Runners Whitewater Rafting for one final adventure before heading home.

The youth perfected their “life vest chest bump” while waiting to get on the river. Our raft guides Cam and Corey led us through Brown’s Canyon in the Arkansas River. There was a lot of splashing and screaming. Both rafts ended their runs with a voluntary raft-flip. Afterwards, we had lunch and celebrated Betsy’s birthday. The youth surprised her with a rubber ducky dressed like Elvis, “Monkey Farts” Bubble Bath, and cupcakes!

Then we headed home. We were greeted by our families, who presented our adult leaders with flowers, cookies, and special beverages.

This year’s Youth Mission Trip was one for the books!
