Have you noticed Boundless Joy, an exhibit of fiber art currently hanging in our sanctuary gallery?
“The Red Balloon” by Jane King
The exhibit is presented by the group, Boundless Fiber Artists,
a 10-year-old critique and design group. Each piece in this exhibit is technically a quilt and has its roots in a long tradition of domestic and demonstration quilting. Techniques include traditional stitch and surface design applique, paint, dye, metal and other media. 12 local artists contributed to the exhibit. For more information about Boundless Fiber Artists, email Marjorie Jannotta.
You can see the exhibit during the church’s office hours (Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am-3:00 pm) or on Sunday mornings before or after our 10:30 am worship service.
If you encounter a locked sanctuary door, simply come to the church office for access to Boundless Joy
, and our church staff will be happy to let you into the sanctuary. There is no admission charge, and all are welcome; please come and enjoy the exhibit! The exhibit runs through Monday, February 12.
This exhibit is sponsored by NOBO Art District
, Boulder’s first officially recognized cultural district, and our church is a proud NOBO Art District member. Thank you to Mary Horrocks, the Exhibit Coordinator for Boundless Joy.
Thanks, also, to FUMC members and artists-in-residence Barbara Olson and Richard Saxon, our Arts for the Soul visual arts team, for their ongoing work to make our sanctuary beautiful and share art with our community.
