Arts for the Soul celebrates the power of the arts to touch our human spirits in meaningful, energizing and enlarging ways. The arts have the potential to by-pass the clutter in our minds, focus us in the present moment and open our souls to new awareness, purpose and meaning in our lives. Arts for the Soul promotes all forms of art which encourage a healing connection with a transcendent presence, with others, and with our own best selves.
Continuing to embrace and reinvigorate one of the valuable roles of the institutional church throughout history, Arts for the Soul is developing the concept of Artists in Residence at First United Methodist Church of Boulder. We are pleased to announce that our first endorsement is of Seicento Baroque Ensemble, a 24 voice semi-professional, auditioned chamber choir specializing in the 17th and 18th century music and historically informed Baroque performance practices. Evanne Browne is the founder and Artistic Director of Seicento.
Arts for the Soul is also proud to sponsor recently selected Artists in Residence:

We believe that human beings experience longing for meaning, purpose, connection to others and a desire for transcendence beyond oneself. From early in the history of humanity, religions emerged and evolved in response to that longing. But we also know that while the institutions spawned by religion have had many positive influences, they also at times have inflicted great pain...First United Methodist Church

The dollars we give to the ministry, mission and outreach of our church have the power to change lives. The money we give is an investment in bringing God’s love to the world.
