Bishop Karen Oliveto (pictured preaching at FUMC in 2017) invites you to be part of a conversation via Zoom, an online meeting platform, on Easter Monday, 4/22, beginning at 7 PM. Folks from across the Mountain Sky Area will discuss where the church is after the events of the special general conference, and where we can go from here. Bishop Karen writes: “While it feels as if we are in a Good Friday period of mourning, God never leaves us in the tomb for long. Resurrection happens. Love bursts out of the tomb bringing God’s promise of new life. What new life are we being called to?” To read the Bishop’s letter in its entirety, CLICK HERE.
Dr. Celene Lillie will host a gathering for this important Zoom meeting here at church on Monday evening, April 22; meet in the parlor at 6:45 PM, and the meeting begins at 7:00. Celene will take care of all the technology, so all you have to do is come and share your thoughts and ideas. The Zoom meeting is scheduled to conclude at 8:30 PM.
Absolutely EVERYONE is welcome! Since 1997, FUMC Boulder has been a member church of the Reconciling Ministries Network, fully welcoming of LGBTQ people and their loved ones.
