On Ash Wednesday, March 2, Rev. Barbara Middleton and Rev. Mike Mather will lead an Ash Wednesday worship service from 5:00-6:00 pm on the indoor, candlelit Labyrinth at First Church. There will be a few words spoken, time to walk the labyrinth, and the opportunity to have ashes imposed if you wish (entirely voluntary). Charlotte Sass will provide music throughout worship.
This evening on the peaceful Labyrinth is a way to begin the season of Lent with body and mind and spirit all together. Please join us.
Parking Suggestions: Parking is available in the underground garage below the TGTHR (formerly Attention Homes) Apartments, next door to First Church. To access this garage, turn into the alley from either 14th or 15th Street (between Spruce and Pine Streets), and enter the garage opposite the church building. Look for spaces marked “FUMC Parking.” Paid street parking in the neighborhood must be paid until 7:00 pm on weekdays. There is some free-of-charge street parking; please read signage carefully. There are also two paid parking lots on 15th Street, both within two blocks of the church. One is between Walnut and Pearl, and one is between Pearl and Spruce. Please leave parking spaces in the church’s circle drive available for folks who need closer access to the building.
Public Transit: First Church is located two blocks from the downtown Boulder Walnut Street bus station (corner of 14th and Walnut). Both local and regional busses serve this station.
All are welcome at First Church Boulder. YOU are the LIGHT of the WORLD.
