Dr. Neomi De Anda, who is visiting First Church as a TIR (Theologian-in-Residence), will lead Forum on Sunday, October 10, at 9:00 am in the church parlor. In her Forum presentation, Dr. De Anda will be sharing some of her work on Latinx Christology. This is an in-person program, and masks are required; if you forget your mask, we’ll be glad to provide you with one.
Dr. Neomi De Anda is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Dayton, where she teaches courses in religion, Latinx studies, race and ethnic studies, and women and gender studies. She is also a Human Rights Center Research Associate, and she has done work on women’s roles in Christian formation and their radical discipleship. First Church’s United Methodist Women chapter had an enlightening hybrid session with her on September 18. Dr. De Anda has received many recognition awards for her outstanding teaching, and we look forward to having this dynamic woman with us. Please join us in welcoming her!
