Attention-Homes-Logo-e1429840057879Our partnership project with Attention Homes and Gardner Capital Development to develop 40 units of affordable housing for at-risk young adults on what is now our church parking lot continues to move forward.

Right now, there are two ways you can help this project develop:

FIRST: Our church will host a community meeting about this project on Thursday June 23, from 6:00-9:00 pm. Please make every effort you can to attend this meeting. A large showing of positive support will have a significant influence on our Boulder Planning Board and City Council.

SECOND: You can send an email letter of support for this project to both the Boulder Planning Board and the Boulder City Council. The Planning Board will discuss the project on Thursday, July 14, and your emails of support will have a significant influence and make a difference. You are also welcome to attend the Planning Board meeting on July 14.

Email sent to this address will reach Claire Clurman, Attention Homes’ Executive Director, and Pat Bruns, our Senior Pastor. It is helpful for them to be able to track support for our project.

Transforming lives and supporting at-risk young adults in the journey to independence and self-sufficiency are ways of living our belief that all people are of sacred worth. This project is about transformational love…believing that lives can be changed especially as God’s love comes alive in our lives.

Our project would be the first housing development of its kind in Boulder County. It will provide safe and affordable housing, supportive services, and resources that will help launch young adults into independent, self-sufficient and productive lives. To learn more about the proposed project, and see some concept drawings, please visit the project’s website.

Our Boulder community affirms the worth and value of all persons. We are known for creating opportunities for personal growth and development. We want people to be whole and well. We value that. This project is a very concrete way of valuing all persons and making our community a better place for absolutely everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to actively support this important project.
