FUMC Boulder Celebrates 160th Anniversary!
November 24 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The first church in Boulder turns 160 years old this year! First United Methodist Church of Boulder will celebrate our 160th anniversary on Sunday, November 24, with a special worship service at 10:30 AM in our sanctuary. We are inviting former clergy to return and celebrate with us, and we’ll welcome former FUMC pastor, the Rev. Charles Schuster, back to the pulpit. Rev. Schuster served as FUMC’s pastor from 1982-1989.
In our 9:00 AM Forum program before the service, Rev. Schuster and FUMC’s current pastor, Matthias Krier, will be in conversation.
After worship, we’ll enjoy a Homecoming Harvest Luncheon with turkey, gravy, and anniversary cake (there will also be a vegetarian option); parishioners are invited to bring a favorite Thanksgiving dish to share. Please email the Church Office to RSVP for lunch, or give them a call: 303.442.3770.
Also: consider making a special gift in honor of the 160th: give 160 pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters or dollars. The proceeds will go to further restoration of our historic Bell Tower. You can place your gift in one of the collection containers at church; look for them in the narthex, and in the parlor during coffee hour on Sundays.

PARKING INFORMATION: There is limited on-site parking due to the construction of the Attention Homes Apartments. Please visit our parking page to learn about parking and public transit options for visiting our church.
Absolutely EVERYONE is welcome! Since 1997, FUMC Boulder has been a Reconciling Congregation, fully welcoming of LGBTQ people and their loved ones!
See you on Sunday, November 24!
