PALM SUNDAY, March 25:
Gather along Pine Street at 10:00 am for the annual Parade of Palms, celebrated in community with several other downtown Pine Street churches. Wave your palm branches as a live donkey walks down Pine Street, and listen to music performed by the Pine Street Churches Choir (made up of choir members from the various churches). Don’t miss this festive morning!

At 10:30 am, come inside for the Palm Sunday worship service in our sanctuary. Our children and youth will have their own Parade of Palms through the sanctuary, and we’ll experience the Passion story through the Gospel of Mark. Absolutely EVERYONE is welcome!

Maundy (Holy) Thursday, March 29, 7:00 pm

Ecumenical Maundy Thursday service at St. John’s Episcopal Church (across the street from FUMC). All are welcome to attend this solemn and beautiful service, which includes foot washing, and the stripping of the altar.

Good Friday, March 30

12:00 pm-3:00 pm: Ecumenical service on the Seven Last Words of Christ, St. John’s Episcopal Church (across the street from FUMC). You can come and go as you like throughout the service. Pastor Matthias will preach on the first word: “Father, forgive them.”

labyrinth candles7:00 pm: Good Friday Service at FUMC on the Labyrinth: Dr. Celene Lillie, FUMC’s Director of Adult Education and Spiritual Formation, will lead this participatory, spiritual service based on The Thunder, Perfect Mind (a 1st or 2nd Century, recently discovered Christian text that has powerful implications for Holy Week and beyond) on our beautiful, candlelit Labyrinth. Dr. Lillie is a co-author of a new translation of this important text. There will be time to walk the labyrinth for all who wish to do so. All are welcome!

Easter Sunday, April 1

9:15–10:15 am Continental Easter Breakfast served by our youth in the church parlor. Homemade hot cross buns! Your voluntary donations (no donation is too small!) support this year’s youth mission trip. All are welcome!

10:30 am Easter Worship Service in the sanctuary with special music featuring festival brass, timpani, our Chancel Choir, and organ, all led by Dr. Gerald Holbrook, Director of Music.

15 Minutes after the 10:30 Service: Easter Communion Service in the Chapel
Join us for a brief but meaningful communion experience. All are welcome to receive communion.

11:45 am Easter Egg Hunt outside (weather permitting) and Coffee Hour (and the Easter Breakfast served by our youth continues during Coffee Hour).

AS ALWAYS, ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Since 1997, FUMC Boulder has been a Reconciling Congregation, warmly and fully welcoming LGBTQ people and their loved ones into the life of our church community.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT OUR PARKING LOT IS CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE ATTENTION HOMES RESIDENCES. There is limited handicapped parking on the circle drive in front of the church. There is plenty of street parking and garage parking close to the church, and street/garage spaces are free of charge on Sundays. To learn more about parking options near the church, visit the PARKING PAGE ON OUR WEBSITE.
