International AIDS Candlelight AIDS Memorial
May 19, 2013 @ 6:45 pm - 8:00 pm
On Sunday, May 19th, the Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP) and the Interfaith AIDS Coalition of Boulder County invite you to participate in one of the oldest and largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV/AIDS awareness in the world, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. Activists, family members and supporters will gather together at the Boulder County AIDS Project, and then participate in a silent walk through downtown Boulder to the AIDS Memorial Garden along Boulder Creek. The walk will pause at the Courthouse for brief words in memory of those who have lost their battle with AIDS. At the Memorial Garden, the program will continue with music, a reading of the names of local people lost to AIDS, and a short reflection by the Reverend Pat Bruns, senior pastor of First United Methodist Church of Boulder, a member congregation of the Interfaith AIDS Coalition.
