Join Us for Our Winter Solstice Celebration on the Labyrinth Sunday, 12/21, at 4:00 PM
December 21, 2014 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The winter solstice has been a significant time for people throughout the ages, an opportunity to find peace within the darkness even as we prepare to welcome back the light. On Sunday, December 21, at 4:00 pm, we will observe the Winter Solstice with a special time of celebration on our labyrinth.
Our Solstice Celebration will recognize the solstice themes of darkness and light, nature, birth, listening both internally and externally, and honoring the natural rhythms of life. Silence and the spoken word, meditative harp music performed by Margot Krimmel, candlelight around the labyrinth, some singing, and optional labyrinth walking will be part of the event. But the solstice service will mostly be about what we each find within ourselves at this time of introspection, meditation, and celebration.
Please plan to join us for this peaceful, joyful service celebrating the rhythms of our beautiful earth, and the return of the light. Everyone is welcome.
