CANCELED: Spring Equinox Celebration on the Labyrinth
March 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to cancel the Spring Equinox celebration on the labyrinth, originally scheduled for Wednesday evening, March 18. Wishing you and your dear ones good health, and a blessed Equinox!
The Spring Equinox will be celebrated on the beautiful, candlelit labyrinth at First United Methodist Church of Boulder on Wednesday, March 18, from 6:30-8:30 pm.
The Spring Equinox marks the beginning of spring, and is the midpoint between the winter and summer solstices. Join us for an evening of celebration and introspection.
Rev. Barbara Middleton and Dr. Celene Lillie will open the event. Harpist Margo Krimmel will offer soul-soothing music as you walk the labyrinth. (Originally, Joy and Michael of Heartsong Way were scheduled to perform, but they are unable to participate this time.)
The labyrinth and sound are both ancient tools for journeying within to connect, release and renew.
Meet Our Guest Musician
Denver native Margot Krimmel has been playing improvisations on harp for meditative ceremonies for the past fifteen years. Her music has heightened and focused the energy for labyrinth walks, yoga classes (including The Yoga Journal Conference), and many local events and services. She has recorded several CDs, including a new collection of solo harp compositions, Ever the New Time Comes (release date Spring 2020). Lean more about Margot’s music on her website.

This event is FREE and open to the public (no young children please). Love donations are welcome for Margot.
Parking: Onsite parking is available in the circle drive in front of the church, as well as in the underground parking lot of the Attention Homes Apartments next door (the entrance to the garage is in the alley between Pine and Spruce Streets, accessed from either 14th or 15th Street). There is also a City of Boulder parking garage on 15th Street between Walnut and Pearl (2 blocks from the church). In addition, there is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood; please read street signs carefully to avoid being ticketed. Most street parking is free after 7:00 PM.
Public Transit Options: For those traveling by bus, FUMC Boulder is a 3-block walk from the downtown Boulder bus station at 14th and Walnut, and is also an easy walk from both the Hop (get off at the 15th and Pearl/Pearl Street Mall stop) and the Skip (get off at the Broadway and Spruce stop) bus routes.
Absolutely EVERYONE is welcome! Since 1997, FUMC Boulder has been a Reconciling Congregation, fully welcoming of LGBTQ people and their loved ones.
