June 21, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

labyrinth earthsunriseThe Summer Solstice is a time of celebration, of honoring the light, and our connection to the Sun and the Earth. It is a time to celebrate the light within ourselves and others.

A Summer Solstice service will be celebrated on our beautiful indoor labyrinth on Wednesday, 6/21 from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Revs. Matthias Krier and Barbara Middleton will open the event, and sound artists Joy Sylvia and Michael Heartsong will provide mystical sounds including didgeridoos, handpan, drums, and vocal toning while you walk the labyrinth.

labyrinth candlesThe labyrinth and sound are both ancient tools for journeying within to connect, release and renew. The soundscapes will encourage you to relax and bathe in the healing space before and after your walk. The instruments played will provide a rich tonal spectrum to invoke ‘deep listening’ – a sense of becoming fully present and listening with the whole body.

This event is FREE and open to the public (no young children please). Free parking is available in our church parking lot for this event.

Love donations are encouraged for our musicians.
