Wednesday, 3/20: Spring Equinox Celebration on the Labyrinth
March 20 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
The Spring Equinox will be celebrated on the beautiful, candlelit labyrinth at First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, 3/20 at 6:30 pm.
The Spring Equinox marks the beginning of spring, and is the midpoint between the winter and summer solstices. Join us for an evening of celebration and introspection.
Rev. Barbara Middleton and Dr. Celene Lillie will open the event, and sound artists Joy Sylvia and Michael Cutter of Heartsong Way will provide mystical sounds using a variety of instruments including digeridoos, handpan, drums, and vocal toning while you walk the labyrinth.
The labyrinth and sound are both ancient tools for journeying within to connect, release and renew. The soundscapes will encourage you to relax and bathe in the healing space before and after your walk. The instruments played will provide a rich tonal spectrum to invoke ‘deep listening’ – a sense of becoming fully present and listening with the whole body.

This event is FREE and open to the public (no young children please).
Love donations are welcome for our musicians.
