The matinee movie series in FUMC’s cozy, comfortable church library continues on Sunday, January 18th. Please come to the library at 12:00 noon. Bring $5 for pizza; drinks will be provided.

ShadowlandsThe film we’ll be watching is Shadowlands, a 1993 drama starring Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger, and directed by Richard Attenborough. Shadowlands tells the story of how the English writer C. S. Lewis, author of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, finds love with American poet Joy Gresham, but also must face his grief and loss when Gresham becomes terminally ill. Our church Librarian, Nancy Moore, and our Deacon, Rosalee Blake, who is also a Chaplain at Agape Hospice, will lead a conversation after the film. Everyone is welcome!
