POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19
ONE THING:
Lenten Collection for Our Partner Agencies

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will postpone our ONE THING collection until we are able to meet in person again, and bring items to church. Thank you for your generosity so far, and we’ll continue with our collection as soon as we safely can.

During Lent, our congregation is engaging with our community partners by collecting ONE THING each Sunday.

The ONE THING collection is a way for our congregation to focus on very specific, tangible needs of our community partners: BCAP (Boulder County AIDS Project), Out Boulder County, and Attention Homes. We invite you to think of your engagement in the ONE THING collection as a spiritual discipline during Lent.

Lent is sometimes thought of as a season to give something up. But we are inviting you instead to give into our community partners by supplying ONE THING they need to support the people they work with on a regular basis.

Each Sunday during Lent we will collect the items listed below. You will notice that ONE THING is listed for each organization. This is intentional because by focusing on giving ONE THING, we hope to meet the needs of our community partners in abundance.

As a spiritual practice you can bring the ONE THING each Sunday, or you may choose to bring the ONE THING you feel called to offer on the Sunday we collect that ONE THING. We’ll collect ONE THING items in worship throughout Lent. You can also bring your ONE THING items to the church office during regular office hours (Mon-Thurs, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and 2:00-3:00 PM).
