Parking Lot Closure: Parking Options when Visiting Our Church

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Construction on the Attention Homes Apartments is nearing completion, but our parking lot is still CLOSED for the duration of the project (likely until December 2019).

Parking on the circle drive in front of the church is for vehicles displaying a valid handicapped decal only. There are 4-6 spaces available there.

For all others visiting the church, please park on the street, or in a parking garage. If you need to drop off folks for church or an event before parking, you’re welcome to pull into the circle drive for drop-off (and pick-up). The circle drive is still (usually) accessible from both 14th and 15th Streets; on weekdays when construction is in progress, the circle drive is sometimes temporarily blocked by trucks. On weekdays, entering from 14th Street is often more reliable.

The closest garage to the church is a privately-owned garage at 15th and Spruce; enter from 15th Street. This garage offers paid parking seven days a week. Vouchers are available ONLY for those attending worship services on Sundays; please see an usher on Sundays to inquire about a voucher. If you park in the garage before talking with an usher, make sure to select the “print ticket” option, and save your ticket.

There are several City of Boulder parking garages within an easy walk of the church; click HERE to see a map of City of Boulder parking garages. These garages are FREE on Saturdays and Sundays.

There is street parking around the Whittier neighborhood, some free (for 2 or 3 hours only, depending on the space) and some that you pay for at pay stations. Pay station spaces are free after 7:00 pm, and free all day on Sundays. To avoid getting a ticket, make sure to read signs carefully before parking on the street.

If you have any questions about parking at church during the construction, please don’t hesitate to contact the church office! We’re glad to help! Call us at 303.442.3770, or email the Church Office.

Public Transportation Options

Any bus route that has a stop at the downtown Boulder (Walnut) station at 14th and Walnut puts you a three-block walk from the church. Many buses also run along Broadway, so getting off at Spruce and Broadway puts you a three-block walk from church. To learn more about bus transit options, visit RTD’s website.

Via is an agency that provides transportation for older adults, people with disabilities, and folks living with mobility limitations. You can arrange a ride through Via by calling 303.447.2848, ext. 1014.

The Attention Homes Apartments are going to change so many young lives for the better. We can manage without our parking lot for a while to make this happen. Thanks to you all for your vision, and your commitment to bettering the lives of homeless young adults in Boulder County.
