Summer Book Conversations: All We Can Save

This summer, join First Church’s Green Team members Brenda Mehos and Jana Milford for a series of conversations about the book All We Can Save: Truth, Courage, and Solutions for the Climate Crisis, edited by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katharine K. Wilkinson.

Discussions are planned for 9:00 am on the church porch on three Sundays: June 5, June 19, and July 3. In the third and final discussion on July 3, we will focus on the remaining chapters: Feel, Nourish, and Rise focusing on Mothering in an Age of Extinction, Loving a Vanishing World, The Adaptive Mind, Solutions Underfoot, A letter to Adults, Onward, and all poems and appendix on Climate Solutions. We hope you can join us as we discuss hope and solutions! Feel free to come even if you did not read the book!

Free copies of the book are available to you, courtesy of the Library Foundation. Pick up a free book at church on Sundays (there are now copies in the parlor!), or EMAIL BRENDA MEHOS if you’d like to reserve one. Also let Brenda know if you’d like to join the First Church Green Team’s email list.

All We Can Save is a NATIONAL BESTSELLER • Provocative and illuminating essays from women at the forefront of the climate movement who are harnessing truth, courage, and solutions to lead humanity forward. Learn more on the BOOK’S WEBSITE.

“A powerful read that fills one with, dare I say . . . hope?”
