First Church has been selected to be a wall partner for the 2025 Street Wise Mural Festival!
Street Wise Arts is a 501c3 nonprofit arts organization based in Colorado. Their mission is to support artists and to build vibrant, resilient communities through public art projects, creative events, and hands-on education programs that beautify spaces and amplify cultural diversity and social justice.
Street Wise Mural Festival will be held September 26-27, 2025. The Mural Festival will install public art projects throughout the city of Boulder. Street Wise Arts’ flagship program explores the intersection of art and activism (ARTivism) while centering womxn, BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and emerging artists based in Colorado and beyond. We bring together international, national, regional, and local artists to diversify our public art collection, putting Boulder on the map as a progressive, inclusive arts destination. The Mural Festival will feature community programming including mural walking and biking tours, workshops, panel discussions, and exhibitions. Additionally, digital artists will activate murals through projection mapping and augmented reality.
One of art installations will be a mural on First Church’s alley wall (wall between us and BCAP’s entrance on 14th Street). On Friday, September 26th and Saturday, September 27th, we will have an artist here painting a new mural for us and for all of Boulder!
