At First United Methodist Church of Boulder we feel our lives are enriched as we come together in community, each entering times of worship from whatever spiritual places we may be, opening our souls to the Spirit of God among us and within us.
Worship services at First United Methodist Church of Boulder marry a comfortable informality with an appreciation for meaningful tradition passed down to us from past generations and interpreted for today’s world. With a strong conviction that every individual is beloved by God, we welcome everyone to full participation in our worship services, including in our monthly celebrations of communion. Leadership for worship services is a collaboration between ordained pastors and laypersons as we support, strengthen, inform, challenge and minister to each other.
First United Methodist Church of Boulder’s music is integral to our worship services and the life of our congregation and community. Sunday worship is enhanced by a variety of choral literature, vocal and instrumental solo work and ensembles, and nearly always highlights our historic and magnificent Roosevelt organ. At First United Methodist Church of Boulder we believe music is one of the most powerful art forms which reflects and transmits the sacred in meaningful, energizing and enlarging ways.
