Dear Friends,
This same question comes over and over again…how do we begin? It is relentless – each new year, over and over again. Time keeps marching forward. And here we are.
I want to take my lesson from the four people: Jessie Harpe, Haley Swope, Alex Roberts and Jean Hodges, who each took a Sunday in Advent and shared how they prepared for the season. And they each did so magnificently, meaningfully.
I want to ask the people of our parish – how do you begin?
The birth of Jesus, seems to be the answer to a question God is asking: “how do I begin again?”
In the new year, let’s listen, let’s pay attention, and let’s find ways to act based on putting our values into action.
I’m excited to see what the new year brings.
