Church Council invites you to lunch after the service on Sunday, March 8th in the Labyrinth. We hope to see you there for good food, good company, and interesting updates!
We will be joined by two community members sharing about their work:
- Curtis Rogers will be sharing about writing and directing 13 Fires.
- This play tells the painful and powerful true story of Indiana Avenue, once a thriving Black cultural and economic corridor in Indianapolis – and its destruction under the guise of urban renewal.
- Dr. Daniel McIntosh will be sharing the results of a study he and his research student conducted in the First Church Labyrinth in the summer of 2024.
- Here’s the two sentence summary of the work they were doing from the DU website: “Funded by the Templeton World Charity Foundation this collaboration with Dr. Kevin Ladd uses experimental designs with self-report (e.g., spirituality) and objective (e.g., physiology) measures to provide data addressing effects, mediators, and moderators of labyrinths. The goal is to better understand the spiritual exercise of labyrinths and provide a strong basis for meaningful application and additional research.”
