The program at TGTHR is continuing to evolve. They have had to make programmatic changes due to the state reconfiguring foster care and also due to government funding cutbacks. But in the past few weeks, they have been able to reopen the outreach program at The Source which is on North Broadway. Youth who may be in transition or are unhoused can use the drop-in center to find resources, to get a meal, and just to find a person to listen to them. TGTHR is seeking volunteer assistance to provide a hot meal for 12-15 persons. Our unit did previously help once a month to make meals at the center. The Leadership Team is trying to assess if we have the interest among our members to do this on an on-going basis. If you might be interested in helping to provide a meal, please let Connie Takamine know. This is an important program to help unhoused youth.
