Volunteer Opportunity: Boulder International Film Festival

BIFF (Boulder International Film Festival) is back! Films will be shown here at First Church each day of the festival: April 9-12—we are so excited to welcome our community and give folks an opportunity to see more of who we are.

One film that will be shown here on April 9th is “I Was Born This Way” – there are friends and members of First Church who have been integral to getting this film produced and distributed!

If you would like to be a volunteer (which requires 10 hours or 2 shifts of work, for which you receive a couple of passes to see films, and get to meet other fun, hard-working people!) – you can go to the BIFF volunteer website, and you can also specify volunteering at FUMC Boulder by typing that in the comments.

You can also sign a BIFF volunteer signup sheet in McKenzie’s office, and/or talk to Jackie O from BIFF, who will be at church this Sunday, March 8th, after the service.

Then plan to attend one of the BIFF volunteer training sessions on Thursday, 3/26 from 5:30-7 pm or Saturday, 3/28 from 10:30am-noon, to learn all you need to know to volunteer! (Further details are found on the BIFF volunteers website after one signs up.)

And don’t forget to grab your tickets to attend BIFF films and events—and more events and tickets will be available as of 3/13.
